Partnership shape describes how we sit alongside your team — not a price list, not a retainer tier with hidden thresholds. Each shape below has a typical duration and handover; exact scope is written into the proposal after an initial conversation.
Positioning sprint
Duration: two to three weeks. Best for: pre-launch, category shift, or internal disagreement about who you are speaking to. We read your material, run one or two structured sessions, and deliver a positioning note and message map. You leave with language to adopt, language to retire, and a frame the whole team can reference.
Narrative build
Duration: four to six weeks. Best for: organisations with a clear offer but no story that travels. We draft the spine — arc, chapters, beats — and sample passages in your voice. Useful before a major website rewrite or investor roadshow.
Editorial programme
Duration: ongoing, typically quarterly planning with monthly check-ins. Best for: marketing leads who publish regularly but lack a shared calendar and review rhythm. We build themes, formats, ownership, and gates — then adjust each quarter as the market shifts.
Brand-system project
Duration: six to ten weeks. Best for: teams working with multiple agencies or regions who need one documented system. Hierarchy, voice, usage, examples — structured for designers and copywriters, not as a PDF that nobody opens.
Standing advisory
Duration: monthly session, renewable. Best for: internal teams who produce work in-house and want a consistent editorial ear. You bring drafts; we read against the positioning frame and return annotated notes. No production from our side unless agreed separately.
Choosing a shape
If you are unsure which shape fits, write with a short description of where the message broke down — a launch that sounded like three companies, a rebrand that never settled, an editorial calendar that became a list of deadlines without themes. We will suggest a shape and say why, without obliging you to proceed.
All partnerships begin with a written scope: lanes involved, deliverables, review rounds, timeline, and points of contact. Nothing starts on a handshake alone. Nothing here promises a particular commercial outcome; outcomes depend on market, product, timing, and decisions outside the studio.
Partnership is a shape, not a subscription — the table is shared for as long as the work requires.
What we ask of you
Access to existing material — even if embarrassing. A single decision-maker for approvals, or a clear path when consensus is slow. Honest feedback on drafts; we revise from specificity, not silence. For advisory shapes, drafts submitted forty-eight hours before the session so we can read properly.
After the proposal is signed
Kick-off is a working session, not a ceremonial workshop. We confirm material access, name approvers, agree on shared folders, and set the first review date. Fees and payment milestones are listed in the proposal; we do not discuss pricing on this website because every scope differs. What remains constant is the written agreement before substantive work begins.
Clients sometimes ask whether we white-label. We do not. MarkWave Craft is named on correspondence and invoices; your brand is named in everything we draft for you. Confidentiality is handled through NDAs and sensible access controls, not through pretending we do not exist.
