Practical answers about how we work. If your question is not here, write to [email protected].

What kind of organisations do you work with?

Founders, brand managers, and editorial leads — typically Singapore-based or regional HQ here — who need positioning, narrative, or editorial structure. Sectors vary: professional services, consumer brands, B2B software, heritage companies refreshing for new audiences. We are not sector-exclusive; we are selective about fit and capacity.

Do you buy media or run campaigns?

No. We sit upstream of media: message, voice, hierarchy, editorial programme, brand-system documentation. Some clients involve us before appointing a media agency; we hand over materials that media teams can brief against.

Do you design logos or visual identity?

Our lane is language and structure. We collaborate with design studios when visual identity is in scope; we document how language and visuals align in brand-system projects. Pure logo commissions alone are not our focus.

Can you work with our existing agency?

Yes, with clear roles. We often draft positioning and voice guides that design or digital agencies implement. Shared documents and a single approval path prevent contradictory revisions.

How does an engagement start?

You write with context — organisation, trigger for the enquiry, material you can share. We reply within two working days. If there is a fit, we propose a shape (see Partnerships), lanes, deliverables, timeline, and fee in writing. Work begins after you accept the proposal.

How many revision rounds are included?

Typically two structured rounds per major deliverable, defined in the proposal. Additional rounds can be agreed if scope shifts. We prefer annotated feedback on shared documents over verbal lists that lose specificity.

Do you work remotely?

Routinely. Sessions at River Valley Road are optional when a table helps. Shared documents, scheduled calls, and clear async feedback work for distributed teams across the region.

How long does a positioning sprint take?

Two to three weeks from kick-off to handover, assuming timely access to material and feedback. Narrative builds and brand-system projects run longer; advisory is ongoing monthly.

Who will we work with?

A small senior team — strategists and editors, not a rotating cast of juniors. Names and roles are named in the proposal. You will not be passed to an account layer that never reads your drafts.

What should we prepare before kick-off?

Existing copy — site, decks, brochures, internal memos if permissible. List of stakeholders and who approves language. Any legal or compliance constraints on claims. Competitor material you respect or reject, if useful.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, mutual NDAs are standard when sensitive material is shared. Our privacy notice describes how we handle personal data under Singapore PDPA.

What if we need to pause?

Pauses happen — funding cycles, internal reorganisation. We document state at pause and agree restart terms in writing. Open-ended pauses without communication may close the engagement by mutual notice.

What format are deliverables?

Shared documents — typically cloud-hosted, exportable to PDF — with version history. Brand books are structured for navigation, not single long scrolls. You receive editable source files where applicable, not locked presentations.

Do you train our team?

Handover sessions are included: we walk through the positioning note, message map, or voice guide and answer questions. Formal training programmes are scoped separately if needed.

Can we keep working with you after handover?

Many clients move to standing advisory — monthly table sessions for draft review. Others return for a new lane when the business shifts. No obligation either way.

Do you provide translations?

We draft in English (en-SG). Translation and localisation are coordinated with specialist partners when required; we supply glossaries and tone notes so translators preserve hierarchy and register.

Still deciding?

It is reasonable to read these answers and remain unsure which partnership shape fits. Send a short email with a link to your current site or deck; we will reply with a suggested shape and an honest note if we are not the right studio. We would rather decline early than accept work that needs a different discipline.

We do not run RFP beauty parades. If your procurement process requires ten agencies to pitch speculative creative, we will bow out. Our proposals are written after a conversation because scope should reflect your material, not a generic template.
